Made for us by the wonderful Erinn Klein of Ngeringa, this years iteration sees a mix of Pinot rosé (50%), Shiraz rosé (39%), Pink Semillon (7%), and and Viognier (4%) from a selection of excellent vineyards around the Adelaide Hills.

Triple Trouble Bubble Pet Nat Rose 2021

Excellent Pinot Blanc from the Adelaide Hills, with an almost Riesling-like character to it. Crisp and fresh (like the crunchiest green apple you've ever eaten), and delightfully dry. So, so good.

Paracombe Pinot Blanc 2021

The vintage that was 2020 threw many curveballs for the team at BK, with their Ovum Pinot Gris resulting in a wine with surprising weight and structure. Spending two weeks on skins and fermented in egg-shaped concrete vessels, the palate has a mealy texture with notes of orange blossom, custard apple, and a little preserved citrus tang.

Hahndorf Hill GRU Gruner Veltliner 2020

This is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir that combines soft lemon pastry notes with delicate stonefruit over a smooth and creamy bead. The citrus peel characters give the palate a touch of bitterness, balancing out the fruit and making this an extremely drinkable drop.

Nova Vita Firebird Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir NV

Free-run juice from Pinot Blanc that’s fermented and left to age in terracotta amphora, developing texture and complexity. Golden Delicious apples, lemon citrus & a little grapefruit pith are joined by a hint of meal on the palate. Delicate, chalky tannins carry all of those flavours along. Delish!

Lucy M Pinot Blanc 2020

This is a rather complex Grüner, to which the team at BK claim could be a light red if you tasted it blindfolded. 50% whole-bunch, 50% aged in neutral oak, and transferred to egg-shaped concrete vessels after primary fermentation for nine months. Musk stick, subtle rosewater, and crunchy green pear, with a lovely textural richness and a little herbal bitterness on the finish.

Made by the very excellent Koerner brothers, this tasty fresh red from the Adelaide Hills brings together Pinot Noir (38%), Merlot (31%), Shiraz (21%), and Mencia (6%). Medium-weighted with fruit-forward aromatics, raspberry, sage, and a brisk acidity - this is the perfect addition to your next long lunch.
