Adrian Rodda moved to Beechworth to start his own winemaking label after spending more than a decade at Oakridge Wines in the Yarra Valley. It's safe to say that Adrian's knowledge of crafting wines from Chardonnay is up there with the best in the country, making several cuvées with fruit sourced from multiple sites across Victoria.

The 2019 Willow Lake Chardonnay is still in its youth, although it's showing plenty of power and generosity now. A whiff of gunflint reduction on the nose gives way to a palate of white stonefruits, lemon curd, and vanilla, with some mealy texture and razor-sharp acidity to close. This vintage has all the hallmarks of a wine with magnificent cellaring potential, although you're still in for a treat if you decide to crack it open now!
