Deciding to split from his family's Domaine, Marc Colin, in 2005, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey has since garnered an esteemed reputation for crafting benchmark Burgundy wines of outstanding precision and quality. It's no overstatement to say that these wines are up there with the best examples of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Côte de Beaune, if not in the whole world.

Pierre-Yves's 2019 Hommage à Marguerite comes from three separate premier cru vineyards in Saint Aubin: Combes, Perrières and les Creots. It arose as a response to the frost and hail damage of the 2019 vintage, turning an otherwise devastating loss of yield into an elegant and superbly poised wine. An orange blossom character dominates the nose, with the palate showcasing crisp green apple, nutmeg, warm bread, and lemon zest alongside saline acidity. An absolute treat!
