Deciding to split from his family's Domaine, Marc Colin, in 2005, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey has since garnered an esteemed reputation for crafting benchmark Burgundy wines of outstanding precision and quality. It's no overstatement to say that these wines are up there with the best examples of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Côte de Beaune, if not in the whole world.

Pierre-Yves's entry-level Bourgogne Blanc is like the vanilla flavour at an ice cream parlour - when it's as good as this, you know the bar has been set high from the get-go. 2019 was a challenging vintage, with plenty of frost and hail, yet Pierre-Yves has still managed to bring the goods. A whiff of struck match reduction on the nose dissipates to find concentrated white flower and citrus aromas, with white peach, apricot, and potent mineral notes alongside pitch-perfect acidity.
