The release of Yarra Valley legend Luke Lambert's Nebbiolo is an exciting occasion for many wine lovers, and it's not difficult to see why. The fruit for Luke's Nebbiolo comes from the Denton vineyard in central Yarra, which sits on a mix of granitic sand and granite bedrock with ample sun exposure throughout the day. 2019 was a warm year for this vineyard, yet the terroir and nature of Nebbiolo vines enables Luke to produce a wonderfully fresh and vibrant wine even in the hottest of years. The palate is an ensemble of succulent cherries, raspberry coulis, orange essence, and allspice, with beautifully fine, sandy tannins providing a savoury backdrop.
